Clarification
Of Terminology
| Rental
Option: The rental option is a month to month agreement, there is no continuing
obligation, and the rented software is fully functional. The rental rate includes the
maintenance agreement, entitling rental customers to unlimited phone support and all
published software enhancements and upgrades. |
Lease
Option: The lease option allows the customer to spread the cost of the software
over 4 year terms. The actual monthly lease rate and total interest expense will vary
depending upon the lease term and the credit standing of each customer.
In addition to the cash-flow advantages of a lease, the total cost can
usually be expensed each month, rather than depreciated over the life of the equipment.
The costs associated with computer hardware, installation and training can also be
incorporated into the lease agreement. |
Multi-User:
The multi-user pricing structure is based on each additional user added to the system. The
base price includes one (1) user. Each additional multi-user module will allow an
additional user access to the complete system, from any networked computer.
Example: A 5-Workstation Network, 3-Users
Cost: System Price + 2 X $ 850
Result: Up to three (3) people can have simultaneous access to the complete system from
any of the five (5) workstations. This includes the ability to access the same modules and
same data simultaneously (i.e. two people posting invoices to the same job, same vendor).
Security levels can be incorporated to limit access by user to specific
companies (and specific activities) within a company. |
| Maintenance:
The Prosoft Annual Maintenance Plan includes all of our published releases
(updates and enhancements) for the year. Typically (2) releases per year (standard for the
last 18 years). The maintenance plan also includes unlimited technical phone support from
Prosofts support department. Software fixes or government form changes, requiring
updates are provided to all clients at no-charge in a timely manner. |
| Enhancements: Software enhancements are modular and or system specific, we typically
release (1) major upgrade and (1) minor upgrade per year. Enhancements are designed to
incorporate the latest software and hardware technological advancements, industry specific
advancements and user features (we call creature features) intended to make life a bit
easier.
Prosofts enhancements and upgrades are usually
monumental and well worth the price of support. Most of our active clients (those on the
Annual Maintenance Plan) remain active for upgrades only, as their need for technical
phone support is minimal.
Clients are strongly encouraged to recommend their
desired changes and enhancements. Prosoft is the developer and prides itself in staying in
close touch with the needs of their construction clients. Your suggestions may very well
become a reality in our next release. Verbal and documented suggestions are acceptable.
